WORKER’S COMPENSATION (OHIO BUREAU)
The Ohio Bureau of Workers’ Compensation (OBWC or BWC) provides medical and compensation benefits for
work-related injuries, diseases, and deaths. Founded in 1912 and with assets under management of approximately $28
billion, it is the largest state-operated provider of workers’ compensation insurance in the United States.
Our vision is to transform BWC into an agile organization driven by customer success.
Our mission is to deliver consistently excellent experiences for each BWC customer every day.
One of our core values is we are One Agency: We support each other by embracing inclusion and diversity,
recognizing we are all BWC. As a cabinet agency, we have signed on to Ohio’s Executive Plan of Action to Advance
Equity in Ohio, and we are fully committed to advance its commitments.
